We will also give tours to individuals or families. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for planning. Leave a contact name and phone number twice for clarity and we will return your message.
Mattocks Ruin Tour
The Mattocks Ruin Site and other features of the MCHS are a fragile and irreplaceable part of southwest New Mexico’s exciting past. Please join with us and support our efforts to preserve and develop the Mattocks Ruin.
The Mimbres Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am until 3 pm. We are open holidays except Christmas Eve and Day and New Year's Eve and Day. If you are driving by, stop and see if a volunteer is there working. We will sometimes give entrance and a tour if time allows. Guided tours are by request, please call and arrange. A donation of $3 per person is suggested, $10 per family. All donations are gratefully accepted. We have a nice gift shop with a variety of books, pottery, original art, souvenirs, and items of local interest.
