Mattocks Ruin Tour
The Mattocks Archaeology Ruin Site and other features of the MCHS are a fragile and irreplaceable part of southwest New Mexico’s exciting past. Support our efforts to preserve and develop the Mattocks Archaeology Ruin.
Educational tours for schools, club trips and study groups are welcome. We can custom design our hands-on activities for any age group, large or small groups, or give traditional tours. We will also give tours to individuals or families. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for planning. Museum Tour
The Mimbres Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am until 3 pm. We are open holidays except Christmas Eve and Day and New Year's Eve and Day. If you are driving by, stop and see if a volunteer is there working. We will sometimes give entrance and a tour if time allows. Guided tours are by request, please call and arrange. A donation of $3 per person is suggested, $10 per family. All donations are gratefully accepted. We have a nice gift shop with a variety of books, pottery, original art, souvenirs, and items of local interest.
