September 17 - 19 --New Mexico History Conference is the signature event of the Historical Society of New Mexico, with sessions exploring the complex history and diverse cultures of New Mexico and the Southwest borderlands. The conference is open to anyone interested in stories of the Southwest, from ancient to more recent times. October 8 - 10 The 23rd Biennial Mogollon Archaeology Conference sponsored by the Department of Anthropology and the Anthropology GSO of New Mexico State University will be held at the NMSU Corbett Center, October 8-10, 2026. The sessions will contain presentations by leading archaeologists from Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas.
